Eric Tucker's paintings have an effect on people. You can see it in their expressions as they stroll through a new exhibition, Eric Tucker: The Unseen Artist, at the Warrington Museum and Art Gallery. Why are some artists not "found out" until after their passing? How is it that people are so intrigued by art made by those who have passed?

I think people care about the art created by those who passed away because people mourn those artists and also feel sorry for them. And after those artists have passed, people began to explore and learn more about their works. Moreover, as the idea that when people lose something, they start missing and value it more than when they have it. The same idea for the art of those who have passed. People only begin to value their work once they are gone.

This artist reminds me of Charles Demuth, who is one of my favorite artists (watercolor)

It is sad that it takes someone's death for people to recognize or notice. I think this comes to show that when someone's passes away, it adds another layer of meaning to their work.

I think when it comes to someone passing, people can suddenly feel "bad" that they did not take full notice of someone's art until after they have died. Because of this, it's really easy for viewers to talk more openly about an artist's work.

The intriguing part of art when the artist is gone is because there will not be anymore pieces made by that artist.

High quality graffiti is art! Nice to know graffiti art still exists. It is also moving to know some communities fight for this type of art to be displayed.
